This one is great if you like to spice up your fire mantle.  Decorate a picture frame with pine cones, and have an instant rustic feeling.

You will need:

    • pine cones
    • picture frame with enough width to hold pine cones
    • hot glue gun

Instruction:

    Hot glue pine cones to the frame.

Hint:

    Insert mirror into frame.
    For a rich look spray frame and cone in with gold color before assembling.
Silkmoth

This one was sitting on our covered porch after a rainy stormy night in May of 2005).  It is a Ceanothus silk moth and you rarely see them. I have seen only 2 in two years, and I spend a lot of time outdoors.  This is a massive moth with a wing span of 3.5 - 5 inches. Check out it’s large antennae.
