These cute barbecue fire starter cups can easily be packed and taken on any barbeque. Forget the smelly fire fluids, which can leak. The cups burn long enough to start any stubborn charcoal fire.
You will need:
Small waxed condiments cups (3-5 oz.)
wood shavings (check in pet store for hamster bedding)
whole spices for scent (like cloves)
wax
wick or small pine cone for decoration
Instruction:
Wax must be melted in a double boiler to reduce fire risk!
Place the coffee can in a pot of water on the stove. Add small pieces of wax to the coffee can and melt on low to medium heat until you have enough for the project.
Fill wax cups with wood shavings and spices. Top with wax and press small pine cone into center.
Place finished product into your charcoal barbecue, and light edge of cup. Do not use in gas barbecue grills.
To the right you see a picture of our tract of land taken in spring of 2005. The lovely meadow with it’s stream is always welcome to our dogs Sandy, Amber, and Jacob.
